Happy Easter!

If only I could have found a pair of these ears for my pug! Holy cow, this must be the cutest thing I have ever seen!

My boyfriend and I were going to decorate easter eggs on Friday night, except, I couldn't quite nail down how to hard boil the darn things, so annoying! After three crates of eggs, and two trips to the market, I have finally mastered it (I think). So today, we will color eggs before the family festivities begin.

Holy cow! I am IN love with Liberty of London!!!



Oh my goodness! I have never wanted more, to own each and every item (I think it may be a good thing that most of the line was sold out)!! Not to worry though - I still purchased quite a few things:

I bought this quilt ...

As we were walking through the store, we were stopped by numerous people who wanted to know where I found the quilt and if there were any left (sorry folks, I got the last one!).

I have absolutely NO real use for these, but don't you worry, I am gonna find one!

This adorable Wallet ...

It was between this wallet and the Kiss Lock Wallet in Poppy Pink (you can find it here). I am still debating on this ... I may need to exchange, or better yet, get both!

Oh my, what I would give to have one! In doing some research, it seems as though there were only 500 of these beauties made which means there is pretty much NO chance that I will ever get my hands on one. A girl can dream though ... right? Just because my odds are slim to none doesn't mean I will stop looking!

All that to say, I spent WAY to much money at Target this weekend!

A weekend all to myself ...

This is the first weekend in as long as I can remember that I don't have any plans! Not a single birthday party or baby shower! It's not that I don't enjoy going to the birthday parties and the baby showers, it's just, we all need a break every once in a while. After a long work week it's nice to know you have the weekend to yourself!

You need an occasional day to sleep in, a day that you can stay in your pj's ALL day ...

Meet Lucey ...

My new gadget ...

After dinner a few nights ago, I insisted we make a pit stop at the bookstore. My new found love is to sit in the craft section looking / reading book after book, it gets the creativity flowing! I guess where we were and why we were there doesn't really matter, but, I thought I would share ...

In any event, while I perused the craft section, the boyfriend did some looking of his own and stumbled upon this gadget...



It's a run away alarm clock!

When this little guy goes off in the morning, he jumps off the nightstand and drives around the room!! Ha!

One of my goals this year was to be come a morning person, what better way to start ...

We finished the "prototype" ...

Well, we finished the wrap skirt "prototype"! The prototype is made out of muslin and not at all wearable ... but at least we got the sizing down and are ready to rock and roll with the real thing! Now, the real task at hand is picking the perfect linen to make the wearable version out of! Any suggestions ...?

They're having a baby ...

Tonight I did a little shopping for tomorrow's baby shower, one of my oldest friends is having a baby, a little boy! Oh how I can't wait to meet the little man! I will be spending the next several hours working away in the factory to finish all of the projects I started for tomorrows festivities. Wish me luck!!

Sewing Class ...

So it is week three of my sewing class and I am beginning to think this wrap skirt will never be wearable! I always seem to have this pre-conceived notion that I can whip these projects out in a snap, however, it never goes as planned! I mean, how hard can a wrap skirt be, right? Well, let me tell you, when you think you are a pattern designer it takes much longer than anticipated! Perhaps I will share some pictures soon ...
